Thanks, when I first went in for my intial appt they asked if I had ever suffered depression and I said yes but it had been over 10 years.. so they tell me I need to see a Phy Dr. and start on a anti-depressant and have the Dr. fax them a letter stating that I wiould be monitored thru out my tx. So I had to find someone which I did, I did exactly what they told me to do (hubby witness). Then they tell me the ltr is not enough, so I ask for a second ltr, still not good enough. So I go today and hope to get something more. Elaina tells me if I don't get it she won't let me start. You may be thinking that she has reason to think I am depressed. I have such dreadful thoughts about it..oh but one must keep a good outlook or one might be deemed depressed. did you hear the frustration?? just curious how your dealing with Elaine have been. She seem to get upset with me when I asked about of the sx that I am most worried about..She snapped at me and asked if I had been on the internet. I was somewhat taken a back. I now fear asking her anything. it is most likely just me and I am taking it wrong.

Hi, got back from Vacation..it was great. Italy is beautiful, the countryside is just like painting. We had a great time. I am hoping to start tx on the 11th of July. Hope you are doing well these days. How is everything going?

Thanks for being my "official" friend now! I don't have many and need all the support I can get! It took them 20 years to make a diagnosis of Hep C, by then so many other traumatic medical surgeries and diseases developed that when I finally started to see URO's, following my hysterectomy in 1994 they just put it all down to UTI's. Hope that your treatment is helping you. Dr.'s said I'm not a candidate for anything, right now, just a slow death, sorry for being so morbid. Interesting that you also lived in the Middle East for a while and also ended up diagnosing yourself while you were there. Where abouts were you? Thanks again for the note & keep in touch.

Thanks so much, yes it is a difficult time... I know I will get thru it and will be better for it.... just really worried about the sx and the unknown but also grateful that I only have to do 6 months(hopefully)... and you are right the pain comes and goes. I never noticed it before..maybe it has always been there I just did not give it much thought. this sure is a process and it really does get to me sometimes.. No I still don't know about the meds.. just trying to be patience. I did speak to Elaine and she said it was in process and she had not heard anything.. So we will see. Just hoping to start 4th of July weekend.. Keeping good thoughts for both of us. Deb

Hi hope all is well... I have a question maybe you can answer, up until the time I had my liver biospy I never really had any sympton but now I have the constant ache in my right side...is that normal and does it just mean that my liver may be inflamed? It kinda freaks me out...Thanks for any input..

Thank you that is helpful...I was wondering if most people have various doctor's helping them with their sides or if it is all done thru the Doctor's at Cedars Sinai? I am still trying to understand getting your medication... do you have insurance and if so what was the process they put you thru? The treatment nurse kept saying that they have a place they go to first and then them know what we need to do to get approved..hope that makes sense..I am just kinda confused on the process. Wow you are having to treat for along time..... but it sounds like it is working and that is great....when you have time can you give me some tips on treating that would be great...anything you have done to make the sx easier.... I am keeping a list so when and if I have a sx I something to reference to help me through it. Thanks, hope that made sense...

Oh it is so good to talk to someone who is as far along as you are and is going to the same Doctor's...I am at the very begining of this process.. will start tx the begining of July... not looking forward but want to clear this virus....how are you doing? I am so glad to hear you are happy with the staff..so far I have been impressed.. have you cleared? I am type 2 so hopefully only 24 weeks... how have you done on tx? any words of advice are much appreciated. Thanks for making friends and keeping in touch.

It is good to hear from someone that is going to Cedars Sinai... I went today for the first visit.. I have Dr. Winn and her staff.. They were awesome... I feel very good about them they answered all my questions and made me feel like there is so much hope for clearing this virus.. and that after I clear that my life can go back to pretty much as it was before I found out. I am not looking forward to treatment but I will be ready when the time comes. Would like to keep in touch...
