Hi there! Well, at least your fiance got to Houston during our nicer time of year. Autumn came early after Ike and summer is definitely gone. LOL! Things are pretty much back to normal - electricity, internet, traffic signals, etc., but still plenty of debris, tree and home damage. It's going to be months before the signs of Ike are completely gone. It's been 25 years since a comparable storm (Alicia 1983) blew through here, but Ike was far worse. I just hope we get out of the coastal area by the time we retire. We've had enough!

Well, Joey is staying in Houston on weekdays and Austin on weekends with his dad, so he's not down there working on all the damage all the time. There are basically NO jobs around here in this town, unless you want to wait your turn for minimum wage!!
