Hi Trish - I dont know anymore. I started keeping a journal with symptoms listed (tingles, etc) but its not really helping. I get some on my face everyday, maybe 20 times a day, but they arent bad, and only last a minute or so most times. Then I get some on my arms / hand (maybe twice a day) and some on my leg (weird, mostly only the left one) but usually near bedtime - very weird. I'm currently taking 1500mg with 0.5 rocaltrol at breakfast, and then again at dinner. I'd really rather just time regular vit d instead of the rocaltrol - why cant i do that? I hate not knowing whats going on. Oh well, I get my blood work back in a couple of hours - I'll let you know! Thanks for asking! Despina

Hi Trish, I did speak to the pharmacist, and she did say that spreading the 4000mg / day in two doses (2000mg each dose) is probably too much at once. BUT, thats what the doctor ordered and therefore thats what on my presciption. Darn it! I'm calling my Endo today to see if I can get in to see her. The tingles may be a teeny tiny bit better (not much) but I'm almost two weeks post op and I want them gone! What do I do?

Thanks for the info Trish. I'm actually taking 2000mg at a time!! If only 500mg at a time gets absorbed - what the heck???

You and me both! Feeling pretty rough today. I got good news on my reports though so I'm happy. Good for you on playing hockey. I can't wait to get my energy level back again. I still force myself to the treadmill anyhow. Can't wait to get started with the gardening. We pretty much fish, hunt and grow our own food because we like the taste better. NEED energy. Hopefully these thyroid pills will work soon. It's getting better than last week when I first started on them, so I guess patience is a virtue. LOL Take care; Amy
