Hope you are feeling better tonight. You are certainly having a bad time of it, but you seem to be keeping it together okay. Many things to be grateful for still, isn't there? Sending prayers your way for some relief. Hang in there buddy! cathy

Dear Headshop . My doctor advised me Kivcin 500mg (Levoflaxacin) a day and after taking it five days my urination problem is reduced by almost 60-70% . My doc has stopped the medicine and advised me to increase the intake of water during day time. What about you ??? Has your problem resolved or not ???

It's different for everyone but I gotta let you know that the first 4-8 weeks were major sx's on many levels for me me and then started to level out some; had shot 11 yesterday - the last 2 weeks have been good, a little breathless but other things better. Good luck this week :-) Hugs to Luke lol

Just a quick note to say hi! Just wanted to say that when I treated the sx of interferon did not escalate - it was no fun of course....but a very necessary evil. This might be one circumstance where you dont want to "live for the moment" - you may well wish to keep the thoughts on what you will do after tx - when you are UND and feeling good again. Energy and appetite will come back - and think about those good old days also - just dont dwell on the here and now.... sometimes you have to transcend the ****....and you can do it! Best of the week to you...I hope that its a good one for you.

Dr D on platelets: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/597485 I think some folks with stage 4 have baseline platelets that are low, and they are monitored closely - the average nurse/doc freak at some of our bloods but the hepatologists seem to know our patterns.

I hope things are getting better for you with the sx's. I'm thinking and hoping that things simmer down for you, amigo. I still haven't started tx yet. I have advanced osteoarthritis, so I want to be absolutely careful about starting something that could make me worse. I went back to the clinical trial site in my area and they may have a trial coming up shortly for me to get in to. Take care of yourself, go to more meetings than you have to. I've used meetings for both my mental and physical health, so I know those 12 step meetings can be emmensely helpful. Also, sounds like it's time for some rescue drugs, are you in a clinical trial? God Bless

Just a quick note to say hi! I had to take Ambien through out treatment. My gastro told the most important thing was sleep....the night after the 1st treatment I was in so much pain and I stared at the ceiling all night long the same thing the next night. He said the Riba would cause that and gave me Ambien for the rest of treatment. So you might want to ask your doc. I hope you get to feeling better. Blessings, proud48

My sisters name is Pat, she's been a miracle in cancer for 9 years. 5% chance then, off/on chemo every few mths. since. It moved to her liver, surgery, etc. I am very sorry for your loss of your sister Pat and truly know how hard it is to watch the suffering, illness. I wish you some peace and strength with your friend Cathy.

Not to mention I picked up the dragon in Indonesia... They really fly all over the world, these mysterious creatures. I really pray that your friend will find some peace, no matter which way it goes. I nursed my Mom, who had leukemia, for the last 1 1/2 years of her life. Fortunately she had no pain... but was suffering from extreme fatigue and weakness. Her last 3 weeks at the hospice, she could not move her legs anymore and was thus totally bed bound. I was with her day and night for those last 3 weeks. She was so brave and calm and showered us with her wisdom. It was quite an amazing spiritual experience. It made me look at death in a different way. She taught us how to go in
