No I haven't been tested for those things although I have read about them and wondered about mercury etc. I am going to put them in my notes to ask the doctor the next time I go. Oh and to add to the last note. I also slipped and fell and pulled or tore a tendon in my left ankle. Nice....... huh? I had an x-ray Friday because my insurance won't pay for an MRI unless an x-ray is done first. Next week I will probably have to get an MRI on my ankle as well. Uggg ! I need to go relax and find my happy place to get through all this. ;) Take care...

I'm so sorry you have not been feeling well. I will say a prayer for you and your son. I have not gotten the blood test beack for Sjogrens yet but think it will probably come back next week sometime. In the past it has come back negative but that was before my salavary gland swelled up etc. etc. You know how fast things can change. You wake up one morning and you have a new symptom. It's very frustrating. The doctor has given me Plaqunel about a week ago but I haven't started it yet because I now have a nerve in my back that is messing with my bladder - long story. I don't know what they will do next week, probably another MRI. Well, I am going to go relax. Have a great weekend. I am here if you need to talk. Joni

Hey zmombomb, I have been told I probably have lupus but maybe sjogrens. I have been dealing with all of this since last July. I think it really started in June last year when I slept for 3 days and couldn't hardly wake up but anyway I finally found a good Rheumy (only took me a year to find a decent one) and she is doing all kinds of new tests. I recently had an episode with my salavary gland swelling up my right side of my face. It was so painful. I have dry mouth and dry eyes. Does that sound like Sjogrens to you? We sound slike the same age and almost in the same boat. God Bless.

Thank you for your autoimmune post! I'm going to see if I can find some information about the Raw Diet... Native American culture teaches that a Raw Vegetable/no cooked foods diet for 5 days or so will boost your energy, and clean up your system. We call it Elk Medicine, and it really works well for me. I've not given up processed foods; I have lunch meat once in awhile... and come to think of it, my hands/fingers have been aching since my first sandwich a week ago... goes to show you!
