I am so much better on this lowered dose - soon, I'll be off completely....I do have blood sugar issues, and 3:00 used to be a tough time for me, too... I'm on Day 22 and just started to drop 1 dose down these past 2 days - I'm supposed to skip around each day and alternate which dose to drop - yesterday it was the evening dose - the day before, it was the morning dose.... Not sure how long to do this, so we'll see... I'm on vacation, so I'm not on line much right now, but I do wish you the very best!!!

Sorry to hear about your cat. Losing him must have been devastating. We have three cats; the oldest is 23 yrs old. His name is Pond Scum - yes, you read it right. We call him The Old Man but when he hears the fridge door open or sees his cat treats, he runs faster than the two younger ones. He's always been there - he's a real comfort. Cats and dogs usually are. If you ever get another cat, you'll know when it's time. Somethings can't be rushed. Glad to hear the taper is going well and that it's been easy. Most people really struggle. Xanweaner used to keep a journal and every day she'd post something about her progress. She's a real inspiration. TTYL wolf

Well, if you want to remain anonymous out here, I just blew your cover = ) Only wanted to say I love the picture of your cat. He/she looks like one of mine - Icepick. Cats (and dogs) are great therapy and no human can hide anything from them. When I feel bad, Icepick brings me one of his treasures - a dead mouse - freaks me out but he thinks he's being a nice guy. Good thoughts to you and your slow tapering off meds ....

Hey - good for you. The slow taper method is a good one...I'm kind of following that, but I've found it to be very difficult during certain phases of my weaning. I'm thankful that I'm on my 11th day at my new lowered amount - I only take .25 mg. total/day. If all goes well, I'll plan to drop down another 1/4 in a week or so...Can't wait to be off of it, and I'm hoping that I'll feel ok after that. Best, xan

Hey - how's it going? Are you still weaning? I'm on Day 10 of another phase - so far, this time around hasn't been too bad overall. I'm getting really close to the end - I can see it around the corner... I hope that you are doing ok, xan

Hey - that is great!! Good for you - I guess the milk/water titration method works after all. And thanks for responding to the Ryan post - I appreciate reading everything I can from knowledgeable people who can add some medical sense to our care. Good luck as you proceed forward...how often are you tapering down?

I can relate to you during this weaning process...I hope it's going well - I use a pill cutter for my xanax, and it does get tricky when you try to cut a 1/2 into 1/4's...how much longer do you have to go?

Yes.....I am really struggling here...who would have thought that such small reductions would do this? And, you're right - I have the high energy for the first few days...then it gets rough for several days...sometimes longer. Actually, I have read from noted psychiatrists how difficult the weaning can be....and it is. I hate it!!! Today, I'm feeling tearful...which has happened before. And yesterday, there wereseveral hours where I was really struggling.... Hang in there....just so you know, it's just not you, but a function of the taper... Good luck!

RCA7591 is Ryan's nickname...try doing a search on his site - look at his posts, and you'll learn quite a bit about Klonopin. Additionally, it'll be quite apparent that he's quite knowledgeable - I believe he's attending medical school and is a walking encyclopedia of drug pharmacology...I've learned quite a bit from reading his posts. Unfortunately, he's rarely posting these days. If you can't find the specific fact that you need, you could also try posting with Klonopin in the header so he sees it. I hope you start feeling better soon!!

I know how you feel about the anonymity. I was in medical device sales for years, so I keep a low profile here. I also not like to admit that I have mental illness. If that's your cat, I have one that looks similar. Hope you feel better soon...
