I'm still hanging in there--thanks for asking! Still the same swelling and tightness on the right side of my neck, plus the lump in my throat that just seems to never go away (I think this is my thymus pushing against my trachea since my chestbone/right clavicle are really starting to stick out more). The only bloodwork I've had done recently was to look at my ceruloplasmin, serum copper, and acetylcholine receptor antibody levels--to test for Wilson's Disease and myasenthia gravis (sp?)--but you guessed it; it came back NORMAL. So, still no clue but I have an asthma test on Tuesday...then more neuro appointments at the end of Sept. It's never-ending! Hope you're doing well :)

I feel a tender soreness underneath and below my left ribs, and palpation of the area yields some swelling (at least, compared to the way the area normally feels for me). Since the soreness isn't radiating to my back and it's not low enough to be gastrointestinal, I'm pretty sure it's the spleen swelling and feeling unhappy, in general. Do you have any problems with yours? When I take a deep breath, I also experience pain in my abdominal area and the same spot that is tender now (spleen), and I become very light-headed for a good 10 - 30 seconds. This is because my blood pressure is low, according to the doc. Sighhhh lol

I'm just so unbelievably frustrated. I really thought he would scrutinize my MRI images since he's the NEUROLOGIST and should know what the head is supposed to look like. He really didn't seem to know much about the MRI images, which was really disappointing, and this guy was from UPenn med school, too! I just don't get it.....he also won't repeat my MRI until late October, and he told me to go to a rheumatologist because my problems don't seem neurological. I guess it's just coincidental I started getting terrible headaches, double-vision, and light-headedness at the same time, because CLEARLY I only suffer from migraines and the other stuff is unexplainable or will be explained by a rheumatologist. ARGH. I hope you're doing better than me!!!

Wow, you're quick--thanks for noticing & caring! The neurologist seemed really bored with me and said that my pineal cyst wasn't that big, then withdrew that comment saying that while it might be big compared to the average incidental ones, it isn't causing any of my symptoms. He told me that I have migraine headaches, gave me a weak Topamax prescription, & said that he doesn't know what's causing my double-vision but it's not the cyst. I had to practically beg him to look at my MRI images...even when he glanced at 10/200 pictures, he said that the radiologist was the expert in interpreting MRIs so he trusted the radiologist's commentary. He wasn't sure about the other abnormality but said it wasn't in the sinus & that it probably wasn't anything because the radiologist didn't note it. :(

Thank you for the note!! Yes we were very blessed here....when the storm went inland it put us on the better side of it. We got wind and rain and very little damage. Not too many power outages here either. Very lucky! Going to leave some of the storm shutters up so it will be less work if we get another. Believe it or not we are still getting some wind and quite a bit of rain yet all this week. Glad you are doing well! Just remember you may need to take it nice and slow and easy with armour. I don't think you will need a high dosage anyway. Hugs!!

Second time posting this ... Grin. Well, it's only been a week so the prozac hasn't done anything for the pain thus far. It HAS helped me handle everyday stress a LOT better than usual and my husband is grateful that I've stopped tearing off his little face. Grin. I'm glad tha armour is working for you. I hear some docs are set against even thinking about it. I dunno why.

Hi. Well as far as how I feel is sorta hard to tell. My emotions have been on a roller coaster but not because of my pills. My family is getting on my nerves and as you know I've been very very concerned about Lady. The good news is she is acting perfectly fine. Very hungry like I'm starving her with just the pasta, rice and egg so tonight she's having some chicken cooked up. Right now she is barking and wagging her tail. LOL As far as what's going on we won't know until next Friday when they biopsy her liver. I think they are leaning toward cancer. I will be a wreck on that day waiting for the results. I was very glad to hear that you are feeling better. Ya. Hopefully this will be your ticket to better health. Running out of room. :-) Take care.

I thought so. Maybe I need to beg for some scans. There is tenderness at the throat and if I jut my lower jaw out (like I do sometimes accidentily when I yawn), I have a severe pain on the left side of my throat. But someone suggested I might have Cushings, which explains the hump between my shoulders. I'm overwhelmed and the doc put me on prozac to "help the pain and depression". My mom is getting a name of a really good endo, she says. I guess there's no harm in waiting until I go see him. I compiled a list of tests I'd like done to rule out thyroid, cushing, and addison. Ha, no wonder they all think I'm crazy.

I've heard wonders about Armour, now this is a natural hormone drug, right? Does it also boost your energy as well?

Been awhile. I had been tested for thyroid antibodies and the doc said everything was normal. I dunno what is wrong with me then ... I'm about to give up and just try to live this way until the end. I've been put on Prozac for the pain and told it's normal to be tired with mothering two children :( Weren't your test results normal as well and they only figured things out a bit after a scan? I cannot remember. Drop me a line.
