Good Morning!
Happy almost Thanksgiving! I am originally from New York, but have been living in North Carolina for two years now. I actually miss the cold and snowy part of the year. (most of it, anyhow.) I loved the changes of the seasons back home, and it's quite different here. Even the scent of the morning air is different.
Homeschooling is a chore and takes up most of the day. Chris could not keep still or quiet to do work yesterday. We went to his best friend's house so they could work together, but he was just a distraction for his friend, and I had to take him home. But today will be fun, it's our first art class!
Tell me about the medications your son uses. I have Chris totally off meds now, previous meds had side affects that were intolerable.
Have a wonderful day!

hey supermomma!
I wanted to touch base. It's been a long time, but you left a comment on an entry I put about emotional developmental delay. I have pulled my son out of public school to home school him for this year. How are you doing?

Hi, I finally looked up the syndrome your son has. That must have been a difficult diagnosis for your family. I hope that they are managing it alright for him. I also hope your health has improved. Have a good weekend!

I am sorry that you in a lot of pain these days. I know it is confusing to understand where the pain is coming from and why? Even doctors are confused. I live in Montreal, Quebec and let me tell you with the rain and humidity there are a lot of flair ups. When it dry, I find the pain is less. The medication you are taking takes a while for it to show it's true colors. Usually about 1 month, I think depending on the patient also. They have a new medication for fibromyalgia and it's called "LYRICA," My doctor prescribed it for my fibromyalgia, but I had to stop because I had all the symptoms of side effects. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about it. It's cool here in Montreal right now. It's 63F. That's pretty cool for this time of year.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your note. I'm trying to get ready for vacation and find myself doing everything besides packing. Not good! I don't know much about your son's form of epilepsy, I'll look it up though. ADHD is something I AM familiar with. That alone can be a challenge. I live in Ky and currently a stay at home mom. My educational background is actually psychology and I have done this but worked for years for a large pharmaceutical company as a consultant for psychiatric meds involving research and customer support and dealing with the science and real world of these meds on patients. After having my son, my new passion is occupational therapy which I'd like to study for. How do we mom's have the time for this though? Good luck exploring your options. It's hard! Take care!

Hi, I don't know where you live but here it is a rainy, dark day. Makes it a little more challenging to find "fun" things to do. I have two boys, one is 5 and one is 4. My five year old has sensory integration dysfunction and my 4 year old who doesn't have it is just super energetic. They keep me running to say the least. You're busy too with three and one still a true toddler. We are on vacation next week so I'm also in the midst of packing up what seems like he whole house!! Your son has epilepsy, is that right? How old was he when you discovered this as well as any other challenges he has? It is an interesting journey. Well, take care and have a great day!

Hi! Found an easier way to get there. At the top of your screen go to Health Topics. You will see drugs on the right. Click on the graphic. Once you are in there you can look at a particular drug or if you scroll down on the right you will see a drug interactor and pill identifier. Good luck!

Have lots of friends and family in Chatham area too. I live in Ayr - just outside of Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge. The economy is much better here. Even though mfg. is still suffering here there is more opportunity. Your husband might want to look up this way. I work in the software industry and was laid off in November and started a new job in May that I love. Enjoying having today off, just being lazy, watching Food TV and going to do some baking later.

Just a quick note to say hi! I hope everything is going okay. Anyway I read your post. Go to the newyork times website and the mayoclinic website. I just read last night how they believe fibro runs in families. If you have bing. Do a search on fibromyalgia and select articles, There's alot of info there. Take care

Hi Sarah,
Thought I'd say hi and ask how you and Ali are doing. I lost your webemail address when I transferred to Comcast, so that's why I'm writing from here. I continue to try and stay active, as well as continue to learn about the items relative to my conditions and will be asking my epileptologist to have the EEG technician ask me certain things, to see if they raise the brain waves and area's most affected. Best Regards. Kay--***@****

You deserve a big bear hug! That's good news about your work, but I hope it doesn't make you overwork yourself. You've got enough on your hands as it is. I'm praying that he lands something soon to help out. Even if it's not what he's use to doing...anything would be helpful. Take care and please keep in touch. Hope you enjoy your weekend.
