Just go to our thyroid forum and look for the thread. It will say for those of us on armour....where we go to post our questions to each other. Let me know if you cannot find it. That is great about your new endo....i know how we build our hopes up for these new docs. I hope he is awesome! I am feeling ok i guess....still a little dizzy and fatigued, but a little better. Look forward to talking to you! Laura

How many mgs are u up to? What dosage of synthroid or levox were you on before the switch? I have a new doc, so i am not sure how far i can push her with my armour knowledge, so i am going to take it a little slow...lol She is my new internest that was willing to prescribe armour.....my new endo will treat me on armour, but won't prescribe. lol Too funny, but the combination of both of them hopefully will get me fixed. They both seem like great docs. My endo is incredible...so far. Now with my increase it means i am up to 75mgs per day. I was on 75mcgs synthroid before and went hypo again. Gotta love hashi's and the frequent changes our bodies go through. Glad you are faring well.....any symptoms you are still dealing with?

Hi there...actually today i got the okay to increase 15mg , so we will see what happens. My doc doesn't seem to know that increases are necessary so frequently with armour....I had to call and ask. Now she wants bloodwork in 6wks again....i think she is use to synthroid. :) Hopefully maybe this increase will be enough....maybe. Are you feeling better yet? I start my increase tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed! :) Have a nice day!

How are you feeling? Did you change back to synthroid or did you increase your armour? I called today and asked for an increase, so we will see. So far I see no diff except for joint pain gone for the most part.

Thought I would check in with you and see how you are doing on your Armour? I seem to be doing pretty good. I have been out of bed and moving for the past 4 days! I get tired at night though and have had the dull palps only at night...I think I am going to need a dosage increase. I only get these types of palp when hypo. I also think the fogginess is starting to lessen a little. Let me know how you are doing!!

well, today being the 7th day was even better. I actually was out and about all day today.....yeah!! I was a little foggy and didn't get tired till this evening. I am pacing myself though. That is nice that you and I are only 2 days apart!! I am able to give you a day advance notice of how you will feel! LOL No anxiety or panick or racey feeling for you tomorrow!! Try to focus on something else. Tomorrow is my appt with my new endo about my nodules and ultrasounds. Talk to you tomorrow!!

Well... spacing them out helps keep you going throughout the day. Just so my body is evened out throughout the day. And I let it melt between my cheek and gum. This way it goes straight to the bloodstream and not the stomach...

Yes, try to ignore the racey feeling unless it continues for more than a week. Remember that you are now getting all the hormones that your thyroid needs, so it will take a little while for your body to adjust. Let me know how you are feeling. I am on day 6 of armour today. I am still waiting for the fog to lift, but i am not so sure it isn't due to sinus problems. Time will tell. Have a wonderful day!! :)

90 mgs is alot to start out with. You will probably have some anxiety and palps maybe. I was on Synthroid and over medicated, my dose was 125 and when I went to the Armour he started me on 45 mg which is low and then we worked up from there. I didnt get any anxiety or that many palps. Just watch out for the anxiety, irritability, palps etc...

I saw your question on someones note about the armour, answered it there, then thought I would copy it to you here as well, just in case..... well, I was over medicated on armour. I wanted it fixed, yesterday. My advice would be to not be to anxious to see results overnight. This mess is like a bunch of tangled ropes, intertwined all together. If you want to get it straightened out, it takes lots of patience, and it takes a while. At least that has been my experience. You might experience some palpitations and anxiety as it has the T3 in it, that the synthroid does not. Hopefully, you will feel great and soon....Peggy

Just be prepared if you feel racey or dizzy.... I think patience is the hardest because we want to feel better instantly. Just remember you are getting the active T3 that you haven't had before....so be patient if you feel hyper. Usually side effects of thyroid meds dissipate within a week. Keep in touch and let me know how you do. :)
