Thank you so much. Dads are special whether they're in our daily lives or not, whether they're biological or step-Dads. Mine was a step-Dad but he's the only Dad I've had. I have so many wonderful memories but they're too painful to enjoy just yet. It sounds like your Dad passed away at a young age. I'm so sorry.

Just a quick note to say hi! I just posted another note for you, but I wanted to add something. My son, the premature one that is now 19, says that phrase 'what not' all the time. I just thought that was funny that you used it in your note. Strange how connected we all really are huh?

Just a quick note to say hi! I am glad you and your husband don't let the drs. scare you. Children will be what they are meant to be despite statistics. I think in order for drs. to take credit, they have to have something like statistics to make them look good. I'm glad she is doing well. Enjoy watching her grow and learn. It goes by so fast!!!!

Happy Independence day! When my son was young, they checked out everything including the vessels in his eyes to make sure they restarted to grow. He had absolutely no problems cognitively or anything. His speech, eyes, and ability to learn were all perfect. Being a teacher, I see a lot of children who need speech therapy who were not even born premature. I understand your child was born a lot earlier than mine, though. He had a lot of support and prayer. Prayers are strong!

Just a quick note to say hi! I was looking at the trackers and found your 'about me'. I have a son that was born 8 weeks premature, 3 lbs, 100% oxygen, 100% life support, was told he would not make it. He had heart surgery at 18 months old. I have news!!! He is 19 yrs old, 6ft3in tall, 283 lbs, works, goes to college, and is planning a wedding in the not so distant future. Isn't motherhood awesome?

Hi and thanks for the quick note. It's very nice to hear from parents that has similar situations as ours. My son is doing very well. He's now 4lb 14oz. He's been off the nasal cannula now for 3 weeks and he's been doing great! We are now just waiting for him to get the bottle feeding down pack so he can come home. How long was you little one in the hospital? How long before she learned to bottle feed? Last night he took the entire bottle for the first time, but today the said he had a lot of coughing and though it was going down the wrong pipe so they stop him after 10min. PS: Your Angel is beautiful!
