I can only imagine how traumatic the hair loss is BUT you are killing cancer which is way more important especially because you have such a gorgeous face...you dont even need the hair to look good! Feel Good and I hope you are okay with the chemo this time!!! Gia :)

Sorry about the hair thing. Are you okay? Have you decided what you like best yet? I mean, wigs, hats, scarves, etc. If you need a shoulder, just holler. It was hard to lose mine because it was so long, but I got over it pretty quickly. Although, I have to admit, it was very weird for awhile. I would see myself while getting dressed and think, "that lingerie doesn't go with that head. I should be wearing boxer briefs and an army uniform." You do learn to feel like a girl again even without hair. I just got cooler shoes, jewelry, hats, and purses to make up for no hair. Take care and try to think of this as an opportunity to save some money, try new things, and when your hair does grow back it will be newborn fresh hair. You don't get that chance very often!!! Take care, Jan

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. But considering you look so good with your hair so short I can't imagine you won't be attractive no matter how much hair you have. I hope chemo is not too rough on you and that you are doing well.

You deserve a big bear hug! Losing my hair was hard for me .. it validated the fact I was sick :-( When I shaved mine off, I got depressed .. but just for a day and then let it go. Good luck with everything. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Judy

Hope your day was super. We did little, just went out for Italian food because I didn't feel like cooking. Have you had a test lately? I go back to the doctor Sept. 17. I will just have a CA125, but if I felt bad, or he saw something, I would have other tests. When my cancer is growing, we drive 3 hours to Houston to see him once a month. When I am doing well, I just go once every 3 months. God Bless, T. Grannie

Just a quick note to say hi! Sharon, you seem so sweet natured. I don't really know you, but I can see your kindness. I see you text message. Being 75 and all thumbs, just calling someone on the phone is a major undertaking. My 17 year old grandson has taught me several times. I end up with no punctuatiion, lots of left out words. Are you in MDAnderson research for low grade ovarian? I have had it for 14 years. Most of the time I forget I have it. I took chemo 3 times and it never worked. My sweet doctor has me on Tamoxifen. Every now and then I fill up with fluid, but, they drain me and I am good again for a couple of years. Have a full happy day and may God bless each step you take. Love, Texas Grannie

Just a quick note to say hi! Hi Girl!!!, I'm happy to hear from you,I was worried since I haven't heard anything. I have had the worse weekend ever...the pain in my tummy, ribs and back was terrible. I think I'm filling up with fluid again as I'm really bloated!!! Today I feel a bit better and will be having a Ct scan probably tomorrow to rule out obstruction.....Lasst year I was having these attacks every 2 weeks, until they drained my tummy..so I'm thinking it's happenning again. Maybe I see you Sept 5th.I need to have my port accessed....have a easy chemo..if possible!! (((hugz))~~~Joanne

Just a quick note to say hi! I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. I agree with some of the other ladies. I had to eat all the time and it had to be protein. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Chemo is just yucky!! For me, protein was helpful. Poached eggs, peanut butter, meat. I found that I really needed to keep something on my stomach all day long. I would carry small tootsie rolls in my pocket so that I could pop one in when there was the slightest sign of nausea and I couldn't get near real food. Chamomile tea and cranberry juice cut with water helped. Miralax the night of chemo helped. Everyone finds their routine ... hope you find your comfort food/drink soon. I had a couple nausea drugs as well. Took one the minute I walked in the door after chemo, before the nausea could take hold. Usually only had 2 or 3 yucky days after cisplatin. Taxol did not bother me. I was very lucky with that. Judy

Just a quick note to say hi! I am so sorry you are so sick. It gets better each day away from chemo, try and figure out what helps and what doesn't. By my fourth cycle, I knew some of that and it helped. Are you on taxol/carbo? For me I could keep green tea and chicken noodle soup down. I took zofran orally and phenergen suppositories to help keep the nausea at bay, didn't always work:( I drank the miralax in my tea which really helped. I know "hang in there" is cliche, but just know that the chemo is needed. Pain now for future gain. God Bless you!! My last chemo was April 10th. I have been in remission. I have hair and am feeling stronger every day. I go back at the end of the mo. for a CT scan and Ca125. I can tell by your picture that you are a strong women of God!!
