Yeah I'm really pissed about how they handled it....I mean I went to a private hospital and they usually all have sticks up their butts anyway, but it was still handled poorly. They didn't even do an ultrasound to check the baby's heartbeat and make sure s/he wasn't in distress. They didn't even try to lower my fever, I mean wtf? They noticed that because my immune system was compromised by the flu I had an infection, but they didn't even give me antibiotics while I was there....It was just one big poorly handled mess.

No, of course you were right they didn't test. I went to the ER because I couldn't drop my fever below 100 and all they did was give me Zofran and watch me drink a glass of water (Fever's still up). They know I'm pregnant and they still didn't give me an IV or anything. Long story short, I'm home now, puking my guts up, and absolutely miserable. I want to beat the doctor over the head with something heavy. Thanks for checking in on me!!

I'm really sorry if you felt like I was jumping on your case. I did feel that way, but I probably could have just let it go normally. I'm really stressed out right now and angry at DH, so I probably should have just said nothing. Sorry if I hurt your feelings/offended you and I do think you do a fairly good job of respecting other people...nobody's perfect <3. Congrats on your little girl!!

I think that I was already run down to begin with and on the verge of the cold....the adjuvent in the shot probably just kicked my immune system into high gear. I'm sure that it's not from the shot....except for the sore arm. I did some reading online about it, and even though it's rare, it's possible to have a low grade fever, aches and pains and nausea from it - similar to what one could experience after having the seasonal flu shot.
I still think it's better to get it when you're in a high risk group, such as being pregnant. I'm sure I'll feel better in the next day or so :-) Thanks for the concern!

hey! hmmm not sure what an ultra screen is but we did do a blood test for down syndrom and i go in on the 19th for a level 2 u/s where they look at all sorts of things and we'll try to see the sex of the baby then too. i'll be around 16 weeks then and ive heard good things about people finding out at that time so i hope we get lucky! we're hoping for a girl, what about you? my appetite isnt really exaggerated at all its pretty much the same as it was before pregnancy its just now i get really cranky and sick if i dont get food within 30 minutes of when i get hungry! im not really craving anything in particular...like i get cravings but they keep switching to different foods im not eating a lot of one kind of thing im more of all over the place lol but i am lovin kettle corn!

my morning sickness is getting a lot better too! now its only here and there when i feel icky....but im still REALLY tired! my appetite has been weird lately too, i cant eat breakfast...baby just doesnt want it. and i know we are almost in the clear! i cant wait to be in the second trimester...thats when all the fun stuff happens!! do you hava baby bump yet? i do!

Thats ok!!! I can imagine how happy and excited you are!! It was so nice to come back from vacation to some good news. You and my friend Sayly got you BFP this month on medhelp. Im so excited and to top the good news. My two brothers both announced their having babies. So hopefully this will all rub off on me!! :)

Well, i guess thats good when you think about it. That you did finally get it so know you can keep track of her. It will help your chances of TTC. I myself am on CD8 today and will use my opk's starting cd14 and see how that goes for me. I should hopefully be ovulating the 3rd or so. Your in my thought!! SSBD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im good, still no AF!! don't know whats up.... Waiting to see if i don't get her by thursday i will take an HPT and if its negative i will call my OBGYN to see whats going on. If i were you wait till wednesday which would be about 2 weeks from when you ovulated if not by friday if no AF take an HPT.. Good luck and keep me posted. Im not sure what is going on with me. I had my period June 15th. spoted or pinked very light the 29th - 4th. I had cramping on the 30th, I assume i ovulated around that week. I have not recieved AF as of yet and i tested the 15th and 17th and got negatives. So bummed and don't know what to think. But i sure hope you get that BFP!!!! Sprinkling SSBD your way!!

Good Luck Girl!! I hope you have a successful healthy Pregnancy & baby!! I had 2 M/C's in a row. We started trying to get Pregnant July 2007 (had a M/C Nov 2007 and April 2008) and I finally had a successful Pregnancy May 2008 had my Son this past February and he'll be 5 months old this month! It can and will happen! I've learned everything happens for a reason :) I wish you luck girl! Let me know if there's anything I can do!
