Just a quick note to say hi! Glad to hear your scan negative.  Have you had any issue with a positive thyroglobulin after your thyroidectomy?

Just a quick note to say hi!
Get yr labs done BEFORE thyroxin dose.
That way you can see where yr levels are at and see just how much of an increase you need. Take the increases slowly (usualy extra 12.5mcg fortnightly ) or as you need the increases. Slow is the way to success.
Yell out if you need any help.
Hugs x

G'day! Well, seems my darling son back home has been caught out at growing marijuana! Unbelievable twerp! Talk about stressing me out! Not only did two of my precious cats drop dead on me while I am gone, now my stupid son is likely to be arrested! AAAAARGH! On a good note, it's snowing here! First time I have ever been in snow..sooo beautiful! Thanks for taking the time to ask me how it's going. I am hopefully going to try to find the time to put a journal entry in soon! Take care!

I would love the purple fuzzy socks. I'll have to post a pic of the winnie the pooh. They are black with neon colors with a big winnie the pooh on top of the foot. They keep the feet warm though. I wear them with my tweety fuzzy pj pants. It might look funny, but I'm warm and comfortable.

I hear ya about the cold. I have big fuzzy winnie the pooh socks I have to wear around. My DH doesn't understand he's always hot because of his high blood pressure. I curl up on the couch with a fuzzy blanket and my socks on and my feet will sometimes still be cold.

Well my endo spec says my numbers are ok. I've been on 50 mcg synthroid since January. But I've been getting that choking feeling again lately. I still can't get my hair to stop falling out though. Maybe thats not my thyroid then. Oh well. At least the fatigue is better. How's yours going?

I seen in the Dr Thread you have Hashi's.
Most doctors don't test for Hashi's or Graves Disease. You got lucky. I had problems for 2 years, finally my blood pressure dropped low. I did my research and went to an endocrinologist. DX Hashimoto's. My DR said my thyroid was fine, just from TSH results. Take care.

I detest the pics from October and my Daughters wedding.

I know about being cold all the time. But, my doctor says I can't have a thyroid disorder if my TSH is normal, which it is. My FT3 is low and FT4 is very low end of normal, but he doesn't care....it's all about TSH. Oh, well. If anything is "going", it will eventually show up in the TSH as well. Hang in there. I'm in my long sleeves and jackets in July with ya!

Sorry.  I thought to go back and check and saw that you're on the thyroid forum.  Do you need to have some blood work done or your Rx's tweaked?  Just checkin'!    Take care.

Just a quick note to say hi!  You speak you mind so WELL.  I *love* reading your responses.  I hope you never give up and stick around for a good long time.  Even though you and I don't agree on a lot of things, I have NEVER felt put down by you.  THAT is an art and a gift you possess.  Keep it up!  I'm not as good at it as are you...

I have no idea how I did it! I think I either bashed myself up in my sleep or a Super Termite did it! Someone suggested a platelet problem, who knows!!! Yes, I think perhaps your hubby may have used the "I was asleep" excuse on you! Hee hee...next time he does it, just knee him in the googlies...I did that once to my now ex husband...and pretended I had been asleep too! Hee hee!!!!

Just a quick note to say hi! Saw your post about the potassium, and it can do that too, similarly as lack of calcium. It is actually more potentially dangerous than low calcium!

Just a quick note to say hi!
I had a full body ultrasound. I refused a full radioactive scan. This was March 2007.Went on antithyroid meds but no luck as antibodies were too high (4000).I was on them about 14 months before RAI.That was the he// time.
I was booked for RAI after thyroid storm 3 times in 2 weeks.
Thyca was found 2 days before radioactive iodine uptake. So went ahead with the RAI June 2008 and then had keyhole TT in Sept 2008 as the RAI made the thyroid the size of a pea.
They 'went in' under my armpit and I was awake due to heart probs and high risk of storm.
I had 2 epidurals for the TT and went home the same day  (late afternoon).
I am due for a yearly full body scan in June.
Message me if you need any help.
I am always here to help all I can
Hugs x
