have you recieved a dx yet? in many ways it is though you copied my symptom list. I have yet to be givin a dx and i have been pushed out the door by almosrt all my docs.

If he refers you to UK rheumy then usually they require a 100 dollar deposit. For me I would pay ten times that and I know you would too. I have 2 really good doctors there. My PCP and now the rheumy. Even if she does not find out anything then at least she is trying. She told me that she thought the blood tests would be normal but the money lied in me getting a biopsy on my leg. I am trying to drum up enough money to pay out of pocket for that otherwise I have to wait until January and go to UofL. Please let me know how it goes. Is your doctor here in Lexington?

Yes heat above 85 makes me much worse. I try to do my gardening in the early morning because here in the high desert it can get hot quick. I use cooling neck wraps and get my hair wet (its long) and it really helps. I also drink lots of water. When we travel south for winter we use a swamp cooler in our 5th wheeler if it gets hot. We do a lot of rock hunting so don't go out in the high heat of the day either. Its been a real learning experience going from a moist cooler climate to a dry hotter one but I feel so much better. The nights get cooler and the air is so much better. The peace & quiet of our little ranchette (5acrs) is well worth leaving the niceties of the big city.

i've scanned over that post several more times tonight and I swear my brain has imprinted the incorrect phrase because I keep stopping over and over to do a double take- you would think by now I know what it says .... your husband and mine would both be feeding us prednisone day and night if it helped!

My prayers to you Tammy. Even though you knew she was going to pass away does not stop the saddness of her passing. The good thing I found in illness is it gives you more time to be with them & to tell them good bye. I am sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I was preparing to comment on your journal entry about your neuro visit when my grandson came over. Now it seem so insignificant. I am so sorry for your loss and please do not feel guilty because you didn't want her to pass on your birthday. No one wants to remember their birthday in that way.
