hey i wish i could say i was doing better but unfortently that would be untrue. The good news is that i have a sleep study appt on the 25th of this month. It is getting to the point of happening every night and it is a little scary. Do you suffer from this? Thank you for takin the time to read and reply to my post. Hope you are doing good

Thank you for the note! I'm not sure what to tell you about MVP because I have never been diagnosed with that. I have palps and get lightheaded daily and have BP and HR fluctuations; but, it is due to a lot of little things I think like thyroid issues, type ll diabetes, deficiencies and womanly issues. I do hope that you do well with your holter monitor this week and that it will show something positive that is an easy fix. I also hope that you do well in nursing school. Even though I don't have MVP I except your invite and I'm happy to say yes to a new friend. BEST of wishes to you and welcome to MH. ;~) Amy

What happened that you have to go to the ER? Before my first ablation I was on 125mg of atenolol but it stopped working. Now I'm not on anything at all and I'm better. Done my share of the ER though, and they always told me it was anxiety and sent me home. Ha! Now we know the truth

Just a quick note to say hi!
Wishing you the best in your nursing career...some of the best people in my life have been nurses, I've never met one
I didn't "love" for the wonderful caring they have shown me, especially when I was in intensive care following my Mitral Valve
repair. So, to your question: I had no conscious symptoms from MVP, in fact I really suffered from MV leakage, one possible
effect of MVP. My leaflets could not completely close. My symptom was AFib, which may have been caused by the MV leakage and the associated enlargement of my left atrium. The valve is repaired, but alas a cure for the AFib seems out of reach, so I have that condition all the time, but it has minimal symptoms unless I try to do heavy physical activity.

thanks for your note and hello to you also....Im sorry for your health problems and wish you all the best, however I think you must have gotten me mixed up with someone else?? I don't know what MVP is nor do I know what community you are on.
Its ok it takes awhile to catch on to these forums and how to contact others...........usually just click on their 'name' when its highlighted in blue.
I'm not sure where u found me?
again good searching and welcome to the forums.

I have never been diagnosed with panic attacks, but have had anxiety for years. It has definitely gotten better, and I have learned to deal with it better. Slow, deep breathing sometimes helps. If your doctor has given you a clean bill of health, see if you can find ways (exercise, resting, reading, yoga, meditation, etc) to curb that feelings associated with the panic/anxiety. You can always talk with your family doctor too to see if he/she can suggest anything to help. Hope it's a great day!

Just a quick note to say HI! I was diagnosed with MVP around the age you are now. I've known about it for over 30 years. I have annual echocardiograms and/or stress tests to keep watch, and so far so good. Hope you are doing well also.
