Get Some R & R

First and foremost, avoid stress to the extent possible. When your body recognizes stress, your blood vessels tighten and your brain can release chemicals that can lead to a migraine. Though it's easier said than done, steering clear of stressful situations can curb the onset of migraines. When you're on the path to a high-stress situation, stop, take a deep breath, try to smile and remember that succumbing to stress just makes your migraine worse.
