| horseownr 3/2/2004 | . | Should have mentioned this the other day, I had these episodes of shooting pains in back of my head on right side. I dont have headaches along with these pains. They last about 5-10 seconds. It happened about a month ago, where I would get these shooting pains a few times a day then stopped, so I didnt think anything of it, yesterday, I had 5 episodes and was also having chest pains, today I had 3. I could just be walking and it would happen, or biting into something, or combing my hair. It stops me dead in my tracks when this happens, what could this be? Is this something vascular or valvular? Could there be a blockage in my heart that would cause this? Why would I be experiencing chest pains along with these shooting pains? I am only 39 yrs old, and havent felt good in a long time, between my legs aching, these chest pains, and the shooting pains in my head, and tired most of the time. Does it get better? Thanks for your help in advance! |
| CCF-M.D.-BKJ 3/2/2004 | horseownr | horseownr, Thanks for your post. It is highly unlikely that anything cardiac is causeing your described symptoms. Not to dismiss you, but a thorough history and physical by a good internist might really shed some light on what might be causing your symptoms. Thats where I would start. good luck |

| horseownr 3/2/2004 C3 | hankstar | Thanks for your insight. I read about the different things you suggested, and it sounds more like fibromyalgia. My mother has Lupus, and her mother had RA, my daughter has JRA, and have a 1st cousin just diagnosed with fibro. but on my dads side there is Parkinsons along with heart disease. So, you dont feel that this has anything to do with my valves? What kind of test did you have done to diagnose you with fibromyalgia? Is it ANA? Thanks again! |
