About a month ago I woke up with a feeling like wind burn and it starts within 1 hour of rising and persists to varying degrees all
day long. I am a 50 year old male in otherwise good health however I have been much affected by alergies this spring and have
had episodes of glandular swelling in the mid neck region. No noticable redness in face either and I feel fine other than this "hot
flash" Now I just found a site that talked about "Burning mouth syndrome" with it's associated symptoms It is most intense in my
mouth but also on my skin on face and around back of neck. It also feels like my exhaled breath is hot. This is wierd. I went to my
GP last week and he performed blood tests and all were normal. He thought possibly male menopause but was unsure since he's
never seen this before. I am going to an ear nose and throat specialist in two weeks for an exam and I would like to be armed with
some valid info so I can give him something to look for. Please help!

Terry, I too have on and off Horrid Burning Mouth/Tongue....Could you please tell me the site that has the" Burning Mouth Syndrome"..I say it has something to do with the nervous system..I know some drugs can cause this also. But I have eliminated everything. I have stummped the Oral Paths here. Thanks. Gina. PS.. OralPath said they have ruled out Hormones as a cause???.....Good Luck To You.
