Just purchased a new (used) car.  I wonder if I did the right thing?  The Jeep had 244,000 on it and was starting to nickle and dime us.  We'll see. 04/13 - 4

brice1967 This Jeep was the most reliable vehicle I ever owned.  Most aren't so dependable.  We bought a GMC Envoy.  Real low miles for the year.  Wont be getting out in the sticks as far as we did in the Jeep, but this will work just fine.

brice1967 It's a charming -26 below 0 this morning.  I hope the wind does not start to blow.  So cold last night that the wife's glasses just snapped.....

R Glass We've been fortunate so far this year. It hasn't dipped below freezing yet. Getting ready to go to a Pig Roast and I think the Low is 40. I don't know how ya'll can handle the cold. The flip side is, our summers are like living in a pressure cooker.

Barb135 Takes a while, but you'll get the hang of it... I got my first pair of bifocals when I was in my 30's - not fun, but even worse when you can't see.

brice1967 I'm catching on I think.  Had tiny bouts of vertigo if my head moves but my eyes don't follow and stepping of a curb or the likes is entertaining.

desrt You can train your eyes by practicing focusing back and forth between the road and your dashboard gauges without moving your head while driving.

brice1967 I'm using readers too, but through the course of the day... I take them off and put them back on maybe 200 times.  It's kind of giving me vertigo.  Spoke to the eye doc and he has a plan.  Bifocals and I'll need to get used to them.

specialmom Oh.  I tried bifocal readers and it was hard .  I kept bobbing my head up and down.  I know you mean by the vertigo.  I've had that too.  Ugh
