Moma_Cher yes breastfeeding for a few months is a perfect plan! That will build up baby's immune system nicely while giving your body time to heal :-)

Heather3418 I definitely agree with the other's.  Your body does need time to heal after giving birth.  Since you are so young, I definitely would not worry about getting pregnant again, when you are ready.  Breast milk is already proven to be the best milk for baby, giving her the best chance to gain the antibodies from your body.  Breast fed babies also don't seem to get the colds and ear aches that bottle babies seem to get.  Momma's milk is the best, for as long as you want to breastfeed.  Whatever YOUR decision is.  You know what is best for you and your own body and baby.

Hollus Well from what I understand, you are very fertile after you give birth. My brother's wife had my nephew on Sept 26 and then a month and a half later gave us the news that they were expecting baby number 2. The boys aren't even a year apart! Baby number 2 was born November 11th. My SIL did breast feed both her boys too! I hope this helps!

noahsmommy8 Drink lots of water and breastfeed often. Some moms even pump between feedings.

heather727 I didn't have any leaking with my first pregnancy and I ended up over producing milk with my DS. Once my milk came in about 3 days after he was born I had more than I knew what to do with! I would highly suggest taking a breastfeeding class. DH doesn't have to attend that if he's not available. It's more for you to be aware of certain tips and techniques to help you if you run into any issues. Also get the name and number of a lactation consultant either through your hospital or pediatrician. My pediatrician's office automatically set up an appointment for 5 days after my son's birth. Without her I probably would have given up out of frustration. I ended up breastfeeding him for over 10 months. I made it to 13 months with my DD. You can do this!

renae176 Dont know if this helps,  but im almost 32 weeks and i dont leak at all, If i push on my breast a small amount of clear fluid comes out but thats it, and i Bf with my son and was fine. I think everything will be fine.
