My boy has Asperger syndrome, he was diagnosed this week. I realize now I very certainly have Asperger as well. Not fun, but it's better to know sooner than later!   Dec 09 - 13

skepticalpeach My daughter has autism and she is also non verbal. I understand how hard it is to keep them calm and it is very good that you are addressing his sensory needs. And, yes, the asperger dx is no longer a diagnosis. It has been taken out of the DSM.

skepticalpeach They are going to diagnosis people on the autism spectrum. It will be much easier for people to get help with an autism diagnosis. People take it more seriously and so do insurance companies.

Ecologic My son is still very non verbal but today he walked to the manager of his daycare and told her that he wants to go to pre-school, he repeated it twice. She was shocked and so are we!
