orphanedhawk I think I've got dirt permanently imbedded under my fingernails from all the gardening I've been doing.

Weeds are simply a plant growing where we don't want it said someone much wiser than I :)

specialmom You know what is funny.  My newly 8 year old was outside with me when I'm working up a big sweat cleaning out a bed that it looks like a laid a bag of weed seed.  He said "why don't you want weeds?"

specialmom And I said" well, I want to plant some pretty flowers."  And he said "well, these weeds have pretty flowers on them."  And I looked and yep, a lot of the weeds had flowered.  In my son's mind . . .  it was already a flower bed!

specialmom Oh yes!  It is big fun.  My boys love baseball and they are fun to watch.  Husband helps coach and it is a great way to spend our Saturdays!!  I love when my boys play catch together in the back yard.  I could watch that all day!

specialmom Yes, I guess I knew that.  :<)  I worked out what I was going to eat for the day---  complete with snacks and yet i sit and think "Big Mac Big Mac Big Mac".  I'm fantasizing about food.  Moderation is key ----  very true!

Barb135 Happens to me, too. I try to get up and do something physical when the "food attack" hits, if it's not time to eat.  Usually works, but not always; depends on whether I'm really hungry for food, or if there's something else I need, instead.

omhome what you resist persists--as you have heard but now you experience. Change your focus "taking something away" ---food----to a focus on and practice of "adding something to" perhaps walking program or start swimming every day etc. Find something new to add

specialmom The robin hasn't been back since she built the nest.  ???  I wonder if she is coming back.  She worked VERY hard on it as I watched her.

rivll I have seen birds do that. Maybe she decided it wasn't a safe place. I watched some ravens build a nest in a tree and the tree did not appear strong for the size of the nest. I was worried. After a week, they abandoned the nest and went elsewhere. :)
