[More]erve root pain due to the things wrong with my spine, nervous system, and its inner workings. (starting to look like Fibro might be included in panoply of issues as well)
Although Medication is necessary for me to have the quality of life I want, I do find more "relief" from the pain through various mind body exercises which help with the "suffering" from P.T.S.D., chronic pain, and the insidious ways it can affect day to day life.
The best medicine out there (for me) is mind/body awareness based meditations like:
MBSR and other meditative mind/body exercises Visualization, Chakra theory. Yoga, (adapted Viniyoga,Kundalini yoga,) Patanjali's Yoga Sutra rocks for the emotional/cognitive side effects of chronic pain!
And I am a "mommy" to an awesome little furbaby named Iggy. He is my therapy puppy and does wonders for me.(He loves to do Yoga stretches with me!) We are working on state cert. so Iggy can share his therapeutic love around at hospitals and nursing homes :)

I came to the conclusion long ago … that all religions were true and also that all had some error in them, and whilst I hold by my own, I should hold others as dear as Hinduism.
