My hubby saw his hepa last Thursday. CT scan results were clear, no sign of liver cancer. Lab results were good, liver is still compensated. Will have an endoscopy this month (routine screening). Next appt for labs, ultrasound, and follow up with hepa is May. She believes sofosbuvir will be submitted for approval about April, 2013, and be available for commercial use about the end of 2013. She believes that sofosbuvir treatment for difficult to treat G1a’s will be sofosbuvir combined with Interferon and Ribavirin. Hope all is well with you.

Hi Livin, Just wanted to let you know my husband's week 26 VL results are DET=22 (just got the call today). You might recall that the Vertex nurse told the NP that it was fine for him to continue as long as he stayed under 25, and he's been DET<12 for the past two months' checks. We don't know yet if he'll continue treatment or stop. The NP is going to discuss it with the hepatologist and get back to us in 1-2 days. I think chances are it's a viral breakthrough, and he will have to stop, but we're not sure yet. Currently in week 28.

Hi, did your liver function tests come back yet? Hope they are normalizing now. Hey, how old are your kids? Are they old enough to talk with them about your post treatment side effects? Ours have been old enough through all 3 therapies, and they have been supportive.
