Thank you for your encouragement! I won't be able to fill the flagyl, which I will pulse for 5 days and then be off.
I am currently on biaxin and doxy. It has helped but I have a lot of joint pain right now. Just went for a long swim and my shoulders really feel it. I was in the pool for over an hour, so what should I expect.
I too am concerned (and that's an understatement) about adding a third antibiotic (flagyl for me). I feel improved, but not cured and it seems like I acquire new symptoms, but as you say I guess I will get worse before getting better.
This Lyme business makes me leery of most doctors these days, so good for you for questioning.
Erica - Congratulations on getting a job! That is great. My doctor added flagyl too. So, if you're still on doxy, biaxin and flagyl, I've been prescribed exactly the same thing.
How is this combo going? How is the new job going?
She has given me a prescription for plaquenil too, and it's hard to take all this at once, plus expensive. I have been under a lot of stress for some personal reasons at work. Can't sleep much. And stress is making my symptoms worse as well as worrying about my worsoning symptoms. Oh well.
Take care. Glad you're beating this. It makes me happy to hear of someone healing. I know it happens. But no one posts about it as they either moved on or just plain forget!
Cindy
Yeah, people just don't get Lyme until they "get" Lyme. What a roller coaster!
Hope you feel better soon! I read your post, and can so relate. Since I started treatment, I've had crazy mood swings. Hang in there, I'm sure it'll get better and until then this is a great place to VENT!
