I wanted to say thank you for the great information. I've been struggling with a bad smell coming out of my sinuses (I can't smell it but my wife can!) and had a sphenoid cyst removed and that took care of the smell for a while but it just recently returned. I had been using the Neilmed squirt bottle to do daily irrigations but they didn't seem to be doing anything. I found your post this weekend and did the flush twice and the smell more or less went away. And when I went to the ENT doctor today he did the reverse sinus flush on me and said he had been doing it for 35 years! So thank you!!!

Friggy, I'm so upset. It doesn't seem to work anymore. I really don't know what to do!!!! I tried hydrogen peroxide and I fear that may have made the nose smell worse. Prior to irrigating, I never had a bad smell, but now even when I stop irrigating, the bad smell is there. I'm really so upset.
