[More]ow retired. Married & content to be so. My wife has Parkinson's Disease for last 10yrs.Have had severe depression/anxiety for almost 20 yrs. Tried all the stuff available ~ some short stays in Psychiatric Hospital. The drugs don't seem to be having any beneficial effects, but am learning to accept the 'downs & just wait for the 'ups' to return by trying to keep as positive as able. CBT was useful while it lasted. Later it didn't prevent severe episodes ~ but I'm here still & alive!
You're in my thoughts all the time, but especially today. Sorry I didn't keep in touch. I was in a depression for two years without really knowing it. I finally got my medications sorted out and I feel fine now but I lost my hearing in my left ear. Always something new.
Just a quick note to say hi! Sorry I have not been in contact for a while had a few life changing moments since we last chatted. Oct last year was admitted to hospital suffering from a mini stroke, Dec saw the birth of our second grandson with all the ramafications of running around like a headless chicken, Then just when you think your getting there big time had finally got to nearly 10 Kms wham, another heart attack in April sent me back into the Coronary Care / Cardiac UNit for 5 days and now I am starting all over again. I do hope you are keeping well, and still enjoying your expeditions.
Just a quick note to say hi! and see how things are going with you, I do hope that everying is OK. I am starting to get more fitter than I have been in a long time. I managed to do 5.5 Km's walking the other day in just under the hour. which is brill for me . I am hoping to try and make this my routine for every morning, except those days that I go to cardio rehab gym. With a bit of luck I will be able to enter next years BHF brecon Beacons walk / hike. A thirteen mile walk in the mountains in aid of the BHF.
Keep smiling, hope your wife is all OK as well
