HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
About Me: Female, member since Apr 2008
37 year old female, married with two great kids, a daughter, 11, and a son, 4.  They are my life and keep me quite busy.  Professionally, I am a registered nurse, and have been for almost 17 years now (wow I'm old).  I have worked in just about every aspect of the medic ... [More] al field/Nursing, but with the bulk of my experience being in "Med-Surg" (which is the pish-posh...a little bit of everything), Diabetes, HIV/AIDS, Dialysis, Ortho, Neuro, Head Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, to name just a few.  Currently, I am a Nursing Supervisor in a long-term care facility, and besides the politics, I love my job, and I truly love being a nurse!  I have a LOT of personal experience with anxiety disorders and depression, and addiction has managed to touch my life indirectly more than once, so those are two issues near and dear to my heart that I have had quite a lot of experience dealing with also. I live in SW PA on several acres of land....very picturesque and pretty. Haven't been converted into a farmer's wife YET, although hubby is working on it.  We have a flock of chickens that yield yummy brown eggs.  That's as "Green Acres" as I'm getting right now.  LOL. Just a quick note to say hi! Actually, I am trying to educate myself through this site to work through a situation where I tested positive icma 2 weeks post exposure with negative western blot. Read your journal, which was so helpful, but what causes false pos., if not an illness or autoimmune? They repeat it 2 0r 3 times. I tested non reactive with neg. pcr at 8 weeks. Docs say no further testing. Don't want to post on regular site, so as to not increase others anxiety. if you have time, please tell me what you think. My exposure was small amount of hiv pos. on large cut on lip which was not healed at all. Thank-you in advance. I have been told to move on, and am doing better, but that result lingers in mind despite all other neg. results.
