Hi Kathy, I'm glad that you are not giving up on the idea completely. The vertex trial would be 24 or 48 weeks wouldn't it? Yea, I do wish I could get in a trial but my Dr.seems to think that I could do well with the 72 week, since I was undetectable at 12 weeks last time and the whole tx.Just need to go longer this time. I had a liver resection 3 weeks ago for a tumor that turned out to be not cancerous thank god. They did cut a good chunk of my liver out.(laprarscopically) I think I will tx soon before I do end up with cancer.I see my Dr. again Dec.15th and hope to start tx soon after. Hey Kathy, How have you been doing? I was thinking about you lately. Did you decide agaist doing that trial coming up. I wish I could get in one. There just aren't any around me. Most won't accept cirrhosis either. I'm just going to do the same tx again for 72 weeks. If I can make it that long. You take care of yourself. Stay on top of it! -Libby

Just a quick note to say hi! thanks for telling me what happened....I think I will ask my doc if I should have 2 year post tx PCR? I'm sorry you relapsed. I have been very thnkful for SVR but it came at a very high price..my health is really bad from my eyes to my joints. The last 3 months just about killed me and my husband begged me to stop but I was in it for the duration. It is like you are brainwashed. I just thought I had to keep going.
