About Me: Female, 39, Murray - KY, member since Oct 2005
Dx with Ovarian Cancer, stage IIIC on August 29, 2005.  Currently going through 1st recurrence, discovered during gallbladder surgery in April 2007.  Have had Taxol/Carboplatin, Topotecan, Gemzar, Gemzar/Navelbine, Femara, Gemzar/Taxotere, and Gemzar/Doxil.  I currently ... [More] have low grade cancer cells, so we're looking for a treatment that will work for that.  I am now on an aromatase inhibitor called Aromasin.  We're hoping it will stop the excess estrogen from feeding the cancer.

Through this process, I also learned I have Crohn's disease.  Thankfully it is not completely active at the moment, but I am on a boatload of medication to keep it in check.  I get CT's every three months for the cancer, so my doctor is able to keep a good watch on how the Crohn's is progressing, as well.

Thank you for commemorating this day with me :) I just read my pathology report from November 2005...it's impressive - I kinda forgot how bad it was. I am so glad to be here right now and I am glad you are here too. I hope you fight it back into remission where it belongs.

My feet and hands cramp and get a burning, needle pricking, itchy, and feels like hairs on my body feeling all over. My scalp is so itchy and prickly too. I feel like I could go mad from it. GP says I have to see rheumy for treatment. Not coming together easily and not sure what they can do for it anyway. I know that with chemo you can get this. Are they able to do anything to help?

X-mas already? I can't get excited about it till after Thanksgiving. We have our church's winter bazaar this weekend and I'm so busy with that and can't wait for that to be over too. Boy! I sound like Scrooge. Let me know how things are going? Love Lisa
