About Me: Female, 46, Tomball - TX, member since Apr 2008
I had a very busy life and was almost living my dream until June of 2007.  I say almost because the only thing missing was the ring on my finger I look forward to from the love of my life.  In June I took a week off work and the first three days all I could do was sleep ... [More] .  I knew that wasn't like me but my boyfriend said it was probably because I was just worn out from work and needed the rest.  I admit, I was and still at heart am, a workaholic.  I went back to work after that week and the month of July was to say the least, torcher.  It started with extreme fatigue, then confusion, (I couldn't remember names or make complete sentences at times, still can't) then the pain appeared, then the swelling and dizziness.... Oh my, the dizziness!  By the end of July I couldn't make it to work anymore.  I could only make it from my bed to the couch.  I couldn't even stand long enough in the kitchen to make coffee.  Eleven months later, many bad doctors along the way, and now finally a few very good ones and I am told I have Fibromyalgia and Lupus.  My ANA is very high 1:1280  and the symptoms too.  Today my job is the most difficult one I have ever had in my life.  I work every day at having a good additude and keeping positive (I do slip at times) and I hope and pray that by taking my meds, pushing myself but also being patient with myself and others that I will be able to do more than just feel like I am trying to get through the day.  I used to wish I could be home more.  Be careful what you wish for.  As for me, this is temporary.  One day I will look back and hopefully see that I was strong through this and be proud.  One day I will feel the energy to do things again.  I look forward for that day.  I am thankful for this laptop because I haven't been able to get online hardly at all.  Now I can be online while laying down.  Oh and the boyfriend.... well let's just say, if a man sticks with you through everything we've been through this last year, he is the one.  ; )
