I have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), PCOS, Dermographism (scratches make me scar and NSAIDS make my skin blood blister), heart murmur, bronchial spasms from allergies, Astigmatism, anxiety (comes along with the low blood sugar and my husbands exwife), Acid Reflux Disease and a weight problem from my insulin dumping my energy stuff as fat.
I am on actos and a special nutrition (hypoglycemia), budeprin (anxiety), singulair, advair and loratadine for allergies and skin, glasses for the Astigmatism and Prevacid for Acid Reflux.
Everything above works pretty well.
Bad Meds: Aciphex (acid pill) totally sucked the life out of me. I think the doctor told me it was because it wouldn't let me digest food at all. Nexium only worked half the time. I learned from the doctor that Nexium (which was prescribed to be a 24 hour medicine), really only works half that time. Before that is was Prilosec which made me feel like cardboard totally drained me.
To treat the PCOS the gyn first prescribed birth control pills for 3 months and once it was determined that everything was back in sync I am just working on the other issue of getting the Hypoglycemia back in control through nutrition and exercise and trying to reduce stress in my life.
Now I went to the doctor to try and work on getting pregnant and she wants me to test ovulation for the next 2 months and then if I am not ovulating then she will put me on clomid. She said at my age (38) it could take up to a year and a half to get pregnant. ahhhhhhhhhh So October I hope to go back to the doctors with or get good news.
