Yeah I'm really pissed about how they handled it....I mean I went to a private hospital and they usually all have sticks up their butts anyway, but it was still handled poorly. They didn't even do an ultrasound to check the baby's heartbeat and make sure s/he wasn't in distress. They didn't even try to lower my fever, I mean wtf? They noticed that because my immune system was compromised by the flu I had an infection, but they didn't even give me antibiotics while I was there....It was just one big poorly handled mess.
No, of course you were right they didn't test. I went to the ER because I couldn't drop my fever below 100 and all they did was give me Zofran and watch me drink a glass of water (Fever's still up). They know I'm pregnant and they still didn't give me an IV or anything. Long story short, I'm home now, puking my guts up, and absolutely miserable. I want to beat the doctor over the head with something heavy. Thanks for checking in on me!!
