is doing really well. 1 downer in 3 weeks and that was only because I watched a baby programme :)

About Me: Female, 20, Rugby - United Kingdom, member since Jul 2009

I'm Leanne. I'm 19 years old and I hail from Rugby. I have suffered with aggressive and borderline cancer ovarian cysts from the age of 16 and have suffered from depression since around 17. I have also recently begun to have problems with sleeping during the night. I ha ... [More] d my first surgery at 16 in April 2006 and my second surgery in April 2007. I now have only a third of my left ovary and my right one was completely removed during the 2006 surgery. I have been left with very large scars across my stomach that have completely changed my life. I went from being a slim, sociable, confident, very active teenager to being overweight with low self esteem, rarely leaving my house, being old-before-my-time and unable to walk to the shop without aid. I have a very supportive partner who I love dearly but I hate being so dependant on him. I joined this site when a friend sat me down and told me to stop letting my physical and mental condition control my life and if I needed to talk to anyone the best way to do it would be through the internet and with people with the same kind of problems. So here I am. Hoping and praying that this'll work so I can lead a normal life again. [Less]

Just a quick note to say hi! sorry have not been in contact for a while been away on a SKI [spend kids inheritance] holiday cruising the Fjords. On way back ship was in a force 10 gale bobbing up and down like a kids toy boat in the bath, But hey we survived it to tell the tale. Hope you are OK Paul

Just a quick note to say hi and thanks for keeping in touch, glad to hear you are making progress re the move and I hope all goes OK for you. I am a bit down at the moment, but cannot quite figure out what is going wrong. Maybe its just one of those days. Glad to hear your lodger is an OK person, is he moving with you to the new place? It sounds like the people that were hurting you are at last out of your life and you can now concentrate on getting yourself better. If the lodger has any good recipes let me know [I'm not a bad cook, I just blame all my mistakes on the oven not working right] Speak soon Scooby1298
