Happy Holidays! Happy New Year! How are you finding the whole TT experience?
Kate
I am thrilled with your great news of good healing and great energy levels! Made me smile!
I'm not fairing quite so well. My synthroid level is at 250 now, however, I am experiencing some major side effects, anxiety, racing heart, hair falling out, extreme exhaustion. They tell me to give it more time.
They got ALL of the cancer, markers were good, so I've opted for no RAI (allergy is a MAJOR issue and consideration).
I'm hanging in there, trying to anyways, just want to get to "normal"

Kate:
I am glad it's over, the TT part. It was in large part to the information and help I found here that also helped prepare me for what to expect before, during and after. Biggest piece of advice I can give you, is to allow yourself time to heal. I thought I'd be all gunho and back to work in a couple of days - NOT. At least not for me. Today, was the first day since the surgery that I actually slept, and I mean I slept all day. I needed it. Also, drink lots of fluids, to keep yourself hydrate and your colon happy, nothing says OUCH worse than constipation which comes with the territory of being hypo after surgery.
I am here if you need anything, have any questions, need a cheerleader!
My next appt with the endo and oncologist is on Wednesday.
Always
Christine
