Fibrosis metavir F0 - F1 according to FibroSpect blood test in 2005
Symptomatic daily as I become older, fevers, extreme fatigue, nausea, hence have made decision to tx perhaps Jan 2008.
Update:  now dx with diabetes type II with no risk factors so the virus has got to go.
3/14/2008 - started tx with Alinia.  Now I understand the word "battle."  :)

Does this mean that it's better in terms of SVR to experience some anemia with reduced riba dose than to treat the anemia...

Mood: cottoncandy99 ... 1st tx 04 came back in 3 mos. back on tx 48 wks stayed in remission 7 mos. then in Nov 06 came back and restarted tx in Feb 07 and will finish this month as this is the last time until something new is approved. rec. blood transfusion in 1976 during a hysterectomy, had 5 back surgeries due to car accident and knee surgeries, as well as both feet due to drop foot symdrome that I wear a brace on the (R) foot which left me fighting every day.  I've left the wheelchair but have to walk with a walker. I believe in the Lord he will guide me through all this as I never stand alone.  All things are possible with the Lord's guidance that one day there will be a cure...So when this road that were  all traveling down seems to difficult I just PRAY and then leave the "Rest to God!"

Thank you for your heads up as I go to dx for check up as I am on Pegasys/Riba and was gonna see if they would add it, cause right now I am sick all the time without meds. I have been trying to keep up with Mail for Cheer but sometimes that is a little much. God has plans that neither of us know. Glad that you are down to the end of tx as I know that you will be glad. I have stage 3 grade 4 as they had just did a bx 4 mos ago. A sonagram was done as well don't ask why casue I was having a lot of pain on the R side. I will ask about the Alinia and then get back to you as to what they say. I love those dr's down there as they care about you. I wish that I would have went there the first time. God Bless, take care, Pam

Thank you for everything! As I needed to hear that and I go in on the 18th of this month as I am so tired of being sick. I am to the point that I will try anything and I think that if things didn't change when I go in then I have that option. Are you over tx? I know there at one time you had a hard time and that is just what is happening to me right now. Keep in touch as I am still trying to keep up with all the Mail for Cheer guys as I sent about 55 cards in the mail today. Take care, God bless. Pam

Thanks. It's not much different w/the VA. In fact, my chances are probably like one in a million, but I'm going to fight the fight anyway. I can use every bit of info I can get my hands on, so I'll be researching. I have submitted to them some actual info put out by the VA itself, and they deny its credibility,. Its been proven though, over the last couple of weeks that the gov. actually did put out the info about the airjet guns, but they retracted it-no excuse. It's in print and I submitted it. Thanks for your help. Not holding my breath though.....

You will be in my thoughts Kitty as you complete this battle. Five more months can seem like a life time... however you will soon look back on this chapter of your life as another accomplishment. Take very good care of yourself, lady.
