About Me: Female, 73, Dorset, United Kingdom, member since Nov 2009
I am a grandma who lives in the beautiful seaside county of Dorset on the south coast of England. I have two children, four grandchildren, and a lovely rescue cat I have called Smudge. With my doctor's help I gradually withdrew from 150mg Effexor XR daily over 10 mon
[More]ths. I finally stopped taking the medication in October 2013. I have had no withdrawal symptoms. I do have mild anxiety when I am alone.
I am 73 years old and have a reasonable social life with a senior citizens group. I do not take any medication at all, and I think I am doing really well for my age. Apart from the usual things that catch up with us as we age, I am really fit.
Just a quick note to say hi! just letting you know that i am still alive/ I am very sick, but alive and still hanging in there. I am hoping that I am not to sick to enjoy my daughters visit on november 20. I gotta go friend, I hope all is well with you. I will pray for you. Bye Bye for now. Your friend Blue
Just a quick note to say hi! I will be gone away mentally and physically for about a week. I am taking time off from the normal schedule and giving myself a much needed soul search and spriritual uplifting. I will be back. Love ya Blue
Just a quick note to say hi! I love the photo of you. (i am not just saying that) I thiink you look better than before. I however, look like crap. I am having a hard time with my attitude and temper, but I know it is the drugs I am taking. It has been 2 wks and 2 days since I started treatment. Some people say that the side effects don't even kick in until the 3rd or 4th week. I hope I am going to have a nice visit with my youngest daughter on thanksgiving. I have planned our own celebration of life for my oldest daughters passing last September 30, so I hope to feel good. I am glad to hear that you are doing so well, it kinda makes my day. Good new's is an uplifter, especially when it is about one of my dear friends. I will be in touch soon. Have a blessed night Love Blue
