I'm sorry to hear your mum has been through so much lately with the virus and more surgery and then having to worry about cancer in the bowel, I hope her next round of chemo isn't too harsh on her and she gets good results. I hate it that our mothers are going though this, they should be enjoying their retirement, not attending hospitals and doctors appointments.
Mum started on Carbo/Avastin & Gemzar combination 2 weeks ago, her ca125 is 26 and she gets another ca result next tuesday so we are hoping it goes down with each treatment, its giving her headaches and tiredness. And no, you haven't talked toooo much! vent away as much as you like to someone who understands what you're going through and please email me if you are feeling sad and alone with this. talk later! Carolyn
Just a quick note to say hi Moira! and wondering how you and your mum are getting on. My mum is back on chemo but still staying mentally strong, hope all is well and that your mum is still beating this rotten disease, all we can do is keep searching for answers and praying for good treatments. Hugs! - Carolyn

thank you for the hugs you sent me. I wasn't able to respond because I spent the last couple of weeks at the hospice where my mother was. Sadly she passed away a week ago. She was in a comma for 8 days. Thankfully she didn't seem to be in pain. It is very hard to loose someone so dear. Thank god for my sisters, my husband and my daughters. We all try to help each other through this. I hope your mother is feeling better. Try to spend as much time as you can with her. If you want a friend to talk and share your thought and fears, drop me a line.
God bless.
