About Me: Female, 52, Champaign, IL, member since Aug 2009
I have had health problems for about 20years (I am 48). I have always had a positive ANA test so originally they thought I had Lupus, then RA, the fibro. I had some brain lesions over 8 years ago with a negative LP. More lesions 4 years ago, no LP was done and just rece
[More]ntly another MRI with a negative LP. I have started having balance problems, falling, and body control issues...I am thinking about trying to find a MS specialist, although I like my Neurologist...I am just so tired of not knowing and the waiting!
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Your story sounds so much like mine. I too have similar problems. I am 54 and had a positive MRI 16 years ago with no sypmtoms. This year I have 2 distinct episodes where the ER docs thought I had a cardiac issue. This month they thought for sure I was having a stroke due to the numbness in my face, arm and hands. I had a repeat MRI which was postive for lesions.I have balance problems as well as extremely fatigued. I go for a LP next Tues. Unfortunatly my nuero will not dx without the positive LP, which I find very discouraging. I understand your frustration, believe me. It's nice to know we are not alone!
