About Me: Female, 66, Greenwell Springs, LA, member since Aug 2009
I have COPD and Sarcoidosis. My last pulmonary function test showed 22%. I am on oxygen 24/7 at 3 liters. Of course, I have several more problems... mostly related to these two diseases. I really stopped worrying about my other health problems because the COPD and S
[More]arcoidosis give me enough to deal with in my mind. I am on a large regimen of medicine, like most people with these problems. My lungs have a large amount of fibrosis. I seem to always have bronchitis, lots of mucus, usually with wheezing. My doctor says that I am in what she calls a "delicate" condition. My husband thinks that I'm just lazy! Right now, I'm suffering with pain on breathing and lots of asthma/anxiety attacks. My vision is bad at this time. I have had one cataract surgery. I need the other eye done, but the one that had the surgery over a year ago seems to be getting bad again. I lost (had to have extracted) all my teeth. My dentist says that I have to wait for one year to get dentures because of my condition, I guess. It's almost a year and my gums/jar bones still hurt and are tender. My lungs and eyes are my worst problems. There's more I could say, but that's enough for this moment.
