Hi Kat,this is your pick me up note for today.I hope that you are doing well and not having any cravings and are still in the struggle to get your life and control back.It is a struggle we have to face every day,but with support from others like us who are going through it too,it makes it easier,at least to know you are not alone.
We have to just live in the day,I know its cliche to say live one day at a time but thats the truth for what we face.We cannot project to far into the future,, except to think how nice it will be to have our life back,or relive the past.Every day is a challenge we face, thats hard enough.I hope you are having a good day and iots bright and sunny where you are,so that you can go out and enjoy it.The sun always makes you feel better.
Just wanted to extend some support to you. What is the substance that you are trying to stop? I ask because if I'm familiar with it and have conquered it, I would be glad to extend some insight. Don't beat yourself up too much over relapse, it happens. Its more important to back at it even more committed and determined.
Hi Kathryn, you did the right thing, taking back control of your life.I dont know what you were taking, but I doubt the withdrawal will be as a bad as day1.I know how hard it is,I was taking 900mg of Oxycontin for the last 4 yrs,on it for a total of 9 yrs.My withdrawal was HELL,even with Suboxone. What keeps me from going back is the thought of what I went through to get to this point,I would never want to go through that again.3 months later and I am still experiencing some symptoms and was told it would be 6 months before my brain is back to somewhat normal.next time you feel the urge just remember what you went through and how much better your life will be drug free.I am going through it to you are not alone, anything I can do to help ;please ask
