I'm 33 years old, married to my love for 14 years, and a mom of two boys who will be 14 & 10 in April, and a beautiful baby girl born March 31, 2010.
Being able to carry a baby is a blessing only a woman can appreciate. It was also a blessing I never thought I could experience again after my two boys. The odds were against us and our chances to conceive were less than 1%. After years of failed attempts and heartbreaking disappointmets, we finally called it quits. Maybe God was just waiting for us to hand over control to Him because as soon as we let go of the concept of conceiving, He made it happen. He has a way of reminding us who is in charge and when you submit to Him, he blesses you more than you can imagine.
Carrying my baby girl was not only a blessing, but also a high risk pregnancy due to Endometrial Ablation 5 months prior to conception. After years of infertility and this surgery, birth control just wasn't a concern to us. Although unplanned, she is a very welcome (surprise) gift from God.
Despite the risks of a post-ablation pregnancy, my baby girl was born healthy at 38 wks gestation, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect delivery.
