About Me: Female, 67, Fort Smith, AR, member since Aug 2014
I'm a Chronic Kidney Disease patient, having been near to dialysis about 4 times in the past 2 years. Though having found out my toxins and are taking care of that elimination through GI means with prescription medications.
I also have Gastroparesis and often am very sick because the food in my stomach will not digest and go down the alimentary passageway as nature intends, but they become spoiled and I enter into a GI crisis with forceful vomiting and diarrhea with pounding pulse and sweating. It takes about 2 hrs. usually to finish the "emptying" process demanded by my stomach. And when I'm through I'm completely empty the whole GI tract. I'm gradually learning which foods my stomach cannot handle...seems roast beef or any beef for that matter, lately real han, and some heavy stronger chicken cuts like thighs and breasts. I do fair with processed food such as "Spam", "Tuna" and "Salmon", IF I do not put onion in them....which makes it bad...though I think onion powders will be alright for me to use. I cannot take Reglan as I'm allergic to it and it seems to be the only drug to help with the emptying of the stomach!
I think this is just a repeat of what I had back in the mid 1970's when the surgeon did a cholecystectomy on me and found that the opening to my stomach into the small intestine wasn't as big as a pencil. He said he wondered how I digested anything and felt perhaps my N/V was more from that then the gallbladder, though it was completely non-functioning and setting there like a shriveled up leather pouch!
I do not have diabetes at present, but have hypoglycemia often, which sometimes is a precursor to diabetes. I have to watch my diet carefully due to the kidney disease, so I'm hoping that will help keep the diabetes away!
