I was reading your post regarding tyroid blood tests. I am hypo and on and off medication since 1984. There is another test that can be run besides the usual T3, T4 and TSH. It is called an absorption test. It is pretty expensive, not in the usual thyroid panel and some insurance companies won't even pay for it but I would ask your doctor to do one anyway. It will reveal how your body uses the thyroid enzymes. My throid tests come up the same whether I am on medication or not....always within normal range. My problem is my body does not use what it produces so I have to take thyroid even though my body produces what is considered "normal"!
I went through years and years of tests for everything from fibromyalgia to depression, sinusitis, bronchitis -- you name it!
