Mood: pedinurse
is tired.  The anemia is not totally resolved.  Oh well, I'm used to being tired all the time.
About Me: Female, 51, Universal City - TX, member since Sep 2009
I am a pediatric home health nurse and love every minute of it.  Currently, I am undergoing chemotherapy treatment for Metaplastic Carcinoma of the Left  Breast w/lymph node involvement (removed 23 during surgery).  I am married w/4 kids. I have a 26 yr old son who is m ... [More] arried w/a stepdaughter, a 25 yr old daughter who is working on her master's degree in psychology (a 4.0 gpa!!!!!), and I have 12 yr old twin boys (both are adhd).  My life is so much fun!!!!  I don't have time to be sick, but someone apparently decided it was time I took care of myself instead of everybody else.  A heck of way to wake me up to the necessity of taking care of myself, don't you think?   Oh yeah, I've been married to my husband for 27 yrs.  He is having to deal with a father who has Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (past 6 yrs) and now a wife with an aggressive form of breast cancer.  Talk about stress!  But isn't that what makes life fun????

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!!! I had a good one I had about 20 people over for dinner all family It all turned out very well. Lisa

Thank you for everything! Well strange things are happening with my body. I am developing little tiny openings, pinholes, and starting to bleed out of them. I had read about this, also my Dr. had mentioned without my platelets, if they continue to drop, I could bleed to death as my blood will not clot. If I feel any worse than I do now, I'm going to E.R. This is a bit frightening,I feel so weak. I'll talk again later. Elsone

Hi Teresa! I hope you are going to feel better soon with the chemo break. That must be so hard on your body and emotions, hang in there. My prayers are with you. Yes I have blood work done at least every 2 to 3 months.. My Tracker(green or blue, I don't care the color, seems to record other things ok just not the CBC, I was looking at yours and thats how mine should look, I can't even bring it up to enlarge it. My platelets are this: 1/15/08--66 3/21/08--55, 8/5/08--45 2/8/09--46 5/16/09--62 10/23/09--20 11/9/09--46 11/23/09--31. If you could just get those in the tracker I would be so greatful. I'll try putting other results in later. Thanks, Just dive right into Elsones CBC Tracker, Elsone (talk to you later) March 15 2008 62, 7/10,09--55 (I'll jump up to 2009)
