It's good to find people in this area with the same issues. I was diagnosed in October of 2009 and will be going in for surgery with Dr. Heilman at Tufts in Boston on 3/2/10. I highly recommend him. He was the first NS that understood what I was saying. I've heard good things about Lahey clinic as well.
I am still finding my way around this site...i hope to talk to you more.
I've been searching for someone around NE with this crazy disease. So many questions.. Do you see Dr's in ME?
Have your found help "up here?" I was just dx with Chiari the beginning of this month. I have crazy aches and one day woke up with the worst pain in my neck! Was treated for disk problems/bone spurs and had PT which I swear brought on the symptoms of Chiari. It was after that I started to have the HA and the tingling in the hands and feet, my arms feel like lead sometimes. Had an MRI and have a 9mm herniation. I am going to my first NS tomorrow morning. He's in Nashua NH. I won't be surprised if he doesn't know much about Chiari. I also have a second opinion lined up at a great NS I heard about at Lahey in Burlington MA.
Great to meet you!
