Well first we believe she had symptoms as a toddler.. but not knowing the signs.. however the main reason we even took her to the doctor was for bed wetting. She also was having behavior issues at school..that had her labeled as an ADHD child. She had also gotten sick when it wasn't flu season...she would fall asleep eating ALL the time. We just thought she would play so hard that she was exhausted..She really never had Ketones until now. I wish I could say everything is going good. I have tried be friending other parents on these boards only to find that Kelsie seems to be the only child who can't keep her sugar under control.. I don't want to make excuses for her, but I believe that because the school has fought us and her that allowed her to see this as a horrible thing.
