About Me: Female, 57, Adelaide, Australia, member since Oct 2009
I work 45 hours a week as a Pharmacy Assistant, and help people with the ailments all day, however when it comes to myself I just can't get it right.
I have had a full hy
[More]sterectomy, first after my son was born (he is 24) because I had my period every 2 weeks. They left my ovaries, but 2 years ago I had to have my ovaries out due to them being tangled around my bowel. Then it was instant Menopause. I already have been to a specialist who diagnosed me with fribromyositis (is there a difference between that and fibromyalgia?) I have had 3 bowel and bladder prolapse repairs due to complications when I had my son. I had gall stones, so had to have my gall bladder removed and the list goes on. On top of all that I have just declared bankruptcy, and I am deeply depressed. Both my parents died of cancer. My mom when she was 40 of bone cancer, and my dad of bowel cancer 2 years ago.
Basically I am a bit of a mess, so I have joined this site in the hope that there are other people out there that can help. I did start to take Thyroid medication because my natropath told me my thyroid was under-active, but was doctor told me it was a "little on the low side" but I asked for the Thyroxine T3 active. I took it for a short time and my hair stopped falling out, but I did not lose any weight. I also have the most bloated stomach ever, and have pain under my ribs.
Now I also have heel and foot pain, which is driving me crazy. Well, I could write a book, but that is about me, I hate to say it. I only hope that I can get some answers from these doctors.
