About Me: Female, CT, member since Oct 2009
55yr female, premature ovarian failure 36, MD did total Hysterectomy (total!). small boned thin woman, healthy. now suddenly bone issues, MD refused to listen to each other, one RX Danocrin for breast lumps ( caused by too much estrogen) GYN insisted I take HRT. After b ... [More] oth wouldn't agree w/each other, I stopped all medications and no more breast lumps and I felt better..no more hot flashes etc. Now I am 55 and I've asked for bone medication to save my bones, and suddenly I see cholesterol over 200, was 158, MD will not treat, nor will he re take another Bone density test. Two years since DX of" acute Osteopourosis". I had asked for year for bone pills to stop this from happening. Now MD says cholesterol is fine, after it jumps to 207 from 158, no diet changes. I wanted med for this, he refused me? I don't want another 'acute" like Osteopourosis diagnosis because he won't listen, he also will not do the second density test, and I wanted to know if the medication I have been on helped the bones or not. he won't even check my BP? WHY NOT? I have severe leg pain that is NOT from my back, and edema in both legs, he ignores this, Urologist for my IC says change MD's.  Do I? I want to live a long time and so far Md's have only hurt me. Needless  Hysterectomy, danocrin vs estrogen, ( I lost).Medications contradicted each other and caused ovarian cysts, etc. Until, I fired both Md's and stopped both drugs, Now no more breast lumps and no more symptoms of menopause or lumps from estrogens. However, PCP isn't listening to me about cholesterol changes and leg pain and edema in both legs. I also have IC. (Interstitial cystitis) [Less]
