I'm sure this is not conventional for a forum, but just read your post about your potty training difficulties and saw it was a while ago. I am having the SAME problem with my son (3.4). Everyone says "lay off", but their kids were potty trained by 3. Plus, I just can't sit back and let this go for fear he will be 5 before he is motivated.
How your issue resolved? If you have any words of wisdom or advice, I'd REALLY appreciate it. I've talked to so many people (but none with my exact problem!) and read books and info online to no avail. I wanted to laugh and cry when my husband found this forum/site/post. I am FINALLY not alone!!
If you do have a moment and some words of wisdom, I would so appreciate a note. Thanks SO much! Lindsay
i have to tell you that i have the EXACT same situation going on with my son....to a T. Same age, same incentives offered, same attitude about it all, tried all the same approaches and still he's content not doing anything about it. He is extremely bright and in EVERY other arena is well advanced. This is an enigma to me.
Has your problem been solved yet???? If so, HOW??
